Western Analytical Laboratory is accredited for asbestos testing by the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP Lab Code 200037-0) through the National Institute of Standards and Technology. This is the authoritative body that accredits laboratories for asbestos testing not only in this country but also in other countries worldwide. To stay accredited, Western Analytical undergoes proficiency testing by the NVLAP twice every year as well as complete checks of all laboratory operations by an onsite NVLAP inspector once every two years.
